2008 Season Preview

This year looks very promising with a number of strong freshmen joining last year’s sophomores.

Michael Shelton, who played #2 and Andrew Persen, who played #4, are returning and have shown a great deal of improvement over last year.

Doug Truitt, a member of Whitworth’s team in 1998, has decided to return to school and gives the team another experienced player.

Incoming freshmen who are battling for spots on the team include Matt Marceau from Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Chris Mc Bride from Dalles, Oregon, Alan and Ali Ta from Pasco, Cameron Rassmussen, from Quincy, and Stephen Gant and Mike McIntosh both from Spokane.

“We have the potential to be one of the most talented teams I’ve had in a long time,” says coach Heidenson. "It looks like it’s going to be an exciting year."
