2007-08 Women's Golf Season Preview

The 2007-08 Community Colleges of Spokane's women's golf team consists of a great recruiting class of freshmen.  The team consists of Kelsey Harting, Jenkins High School; Ky Lee Schmunk, Lind High School; Katie Sorenson, Central Valley High School; Chelsea Kenner, Post Falls High School; and Laura Stembridge, Shadle Park High School.

2007-08 Fall Season Review
The CCS ladies placed second in the Centralia Invite and the Skagit Valley Invite.  The ladies finished the fall season with a win at the Treasure Valley Invitational.  The women also won the Eastern Region match held during the first round of the Treasure Valley Invite.  The CCS ladies head into the spring season with a 3-0 league record.

2007-08 Spring Season Preview
The spring schedule begins with a dual match versus North Idaho College on Thursday, March 27th.  The ladies will then travel to the first NWAACC sanctioned tournament of the spring season, the Olympic College Invitational, at Gold Mountain Resort in Bremerton.  The ladies have a full spring schedule with tournaments at some of the best golf courses in the Northwest. 

The final tournament of the year is the 2008 NWAACC championship tournament on May 18th and 19th.  Spokane is hosting the tournament at Hangman Valley and Indian Canyon Golf Course.

Coach Christie Dalsanders stated, "I am excited about this group of ladies.   They were all successful golfers in high school and are working hard to continue the Community Colleges of Spokane's tradition."
