11/16/07 CCS Women Open 07-08 on a Strong Note

The Lady Sasquatch began their non-conference schedule with a 77-59 win over the Clippers of South Puget Sound CC in the opening round of the Shoreline Turkey Shootout.  Sophomore forwards Ashlee Michelson and Liz Beardslee led the scoring effort for the Bigfoot.  Michelson had an efficient 15 points on 6 of 8 from the field and 3 for 3 from the foul line while grabbing 6 rebounds.  Beardslee scored 14 points while grabbing 9 rebounds, 6 of them offensive.  Freshman post Richelle Daily had an outstanding debut in a CCS uniform with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocked shots while holding down SPSCC star post Alicia Richardson to just 2 points on 1 of 6 shooting.  Other Sasquatch in double figures included Kelsey Stillar (12), Ren Mallory (11), and Katie Allen (10).
