CCS Takes Care of Business in 66-45 Win Over BMCC
The Lady Sasquatch held returning All-NWAACC point guard Jequala Warren to just 14 points and caused her to commit 6 turnovers, effectively shutting down the offense of the Blue Mountain CC T’Wolves. BMCC entered the contest with just one win in Eastern Region play, and the Bigfoot set the tone early to make sure that trend would continue. With an 8 point lead at the half, CCS opened the second session with a 21-5 run that ended whatever doubt there was.
The Lady Sasquatch were paced by the trio of Kellee Neal (16 pts, 7 reb), Ashlee Michelson (13 pts, 4 reb) and Richelle Daily (12 pts, 3 reb). All three were able to capitalize their quickness and athleticism against the bigger, slower post players of BMCC.
The Lady Bigfoot will look to complete the sweep of back-to-back games tomorrow, as the Chukars of TVCC come to town looking to make a last minute push to the NWAACC tourney.
