CCS Sasquatch Sneak by a Talented Alumni Squad, 69-67

The Lady Sasquatch picked up a clutch win over a talented and savvy Alumni team on Saturday night, 69-67.  The Alumni were led by two-time all NWAACC forward Katie Rodgers’ 18 points and 7 rebounds.  Rodgers is the all-time career leader in points per game, and continued her career at NAIA powerhouse Carroll College in Helena, MT.  The young Bigfoot had no answer for her veteran play in the post area, but made up the difference from the outside.

Kelsey Stillar led CCS with 16 points, hitting 4 three pointers.  CCS also used some sharp free throw shooting to stay in the game, going 20 for 24 from the line.  Ashlee Michelson’s two foul shots with less than 2 seconds remaining broke a 67-67 tie, and a last second heave from Rodgers fell just short.

The Lady Sasquatch next travel to Whatcom CC for an NWAACC Crossover, where they will open with the Clackamas Cougars from the South Region.
