Spokane Drops Final Road Contest at Columbia Basin
The Community Colleges of Spokane could not overcome a poor shooting night and as a result fell to the Hawks of Columbia Basin College 74-68 in Pasco Saturday night. The Sasquatch struggled from beyond the three point arc converting on just 4-30 shots from distance in the game.
Spokane fell behind by 12 points early with a score of 24-12 and never got within three points the rest of the game. Each time the Sasquatch would make a rally, CBC would answer with a clutch shot of their own.
“I felt like we took a step backwards in terms of our focus coming into the game,” said Spokane coach Clint Hull. “But at the same time you need to give CBC credit. They have had a ton of adversity this year and they have battled through it and are playing really well right now.”
Spokane was led in scoring by Damal Neil who dominated inside to finish with 29 points. Zack Humphrey added 12 points and had Luke Clift 10 points in the losing effort. Kevin Cameron led the Sasquatch with eight assists.
