CCS Tunes Up For Region Play With 92-45 Win Over GHC

The Lady Sasquatch returned to the court in fine fashion after the 10 day holiday layoff with a 92-45 win over the Chokers of Grays Harbor College.  The Bigfoot played intense defense throughout, causing 32 turnovers and outrebounding GHC 42-35.  Freshman Kelsey Stillar led the offensive effort with 23 points on 7/10 shooting, including 4/6 from three.  Liz Beardslee was also efficient, adding 17 points and 5 rebounds in just 17 minutes.  Freshman Kaytee Clough emerged from a pack of Sasquatch subs to score 11 points and dish out 3 assists in her 13 minutes of action.

CCS will look to use this effort as a stepping stone, as region play begins January 5th at Big Bend CC.  The Eastern Region will be particularly tough this year, as 6 of the 7 teams will enter league play with a winning record.  The Lady Bigfoot next home game will be January 9th at SFCC against WVCC. 

With tonight’s win, Bruce Johnson is now 5 wins away from 400.
