Kate is in her second season as pitching coach for the Community Colleges of Spokane. A former CCS player, Kate has an impressive resume. After two seasons at CCS she is our winningest pitcher, compiling 37 wins during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Her teams were a combined 46-8 with two league championships and a third and fourth place finish at the NWAACC tournament. Kate completed her softball career at Eastern Oregon University where she was their ace. Though she is quiet and reserved, Kate is intense and analytical. She has great expectations for her pitching staff. Head coach Janet Skaife feels that, “Kate knows the game. I am very confident in her ability to call pitches for us. She has thrown enough college ball to know how to get the most out of the strike zone. I am pleased to have Kate on our staff and am excited to watch her work this spring.”
