Sasquatch Pounded on the Road at Walla Walla

ActionIn a matchup with seeding for the NWAACC Tournament on the line, the Walla Walla Warriors came out firing and never looked back as they handed the Community Colleges of Spokane Men’s Basketball team their worst loss of the season. The game broke open midway through the first half when Walla Walla connected on three-point baskets on three consecutive trips to take a 10 point lead. The rest of the first half went back and forth before the Warriors took a 12 point lead into the break.

Spokane came out strong to start the second half and cut the deficit to six points, but in the end it was too much of Warriors big man Emery Henning and too many three point baskets for the Warriors that put Spokane away.

The Sasquatch were led in scoring by Griffon Jones with 21 points and Kevin Bond who added 12. The loss drops Spokane into a second place tie with Walla Walla with only two games remaining.

Spokane will host Columbia Basin at 4:00 pm Saturday at Spokane Community College in their final home game of the season.
