Janet Skaife is in her 11th season as the head coach of the Community Colleges of Spokane women’s softball team. She has accumulated a .678 winning percentage with one NWAACC Championship in 1998 and five Eastern Region titles in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2006 with third place NWAACC finishes in 2001 and 2002.
Janet has played softball for 24 years. In 1992 she was a First Team All-American for her performance in the National Modified Fastpitch Tournament in Salisbury, Maryland, batting .486 without an error in center field. She has three Second Team All-American trophies as well. Janet played both basketball and softball for the Community Colleges of Spokane. While playing the point guard position, her 1982 and 1983 basketball teams won the NWAACC Championship. She played on the first softball team at the Community Colleges of Spokane in 1985 as a pitcher and left fielder and earned First Team All-Conference honors. Her team finished fourth in the NWAACC Championships.
