Sasquatch Golfers Perform Well at Annual Wandermere Amateur Tournament
Returning sophomore golfers, Taylor Porter, Kyler Gable and Corey Meyers all had strong performances in the competitive field at the Wandermere Amateur in North Spokane on August 7-9. University of Washington bound golfer, Chris Williams of Moscow, ID ran away with the victory by shooting rounds of 61-67-65, totaling 17-under par. He won by a 14 stroke margin on the par 70 course.
Taylor Porter’s rounds of 66-71-72 earned him 5th place, while Kyler Gable (70-70-70) placed 8th and Corey Meyers (75-71-65) placed 9th. Meyers’ round of 5 under par, 65 on the last day was tied for lowest of the day.
