Paced by Krause, Spokane Shoots 8-Under Par

CCS kept it streak of under-par team scores alive with a 280, 8-under team score in the fall Spokane Cup competing against local four-year schools Gonzaga University and Whitworth University.  Gonzaga has a four stroke lead heading into the final round of the tournament that is played in the spring.  Whitworth finished 29 strokes behind CCS.

Todd State, playing as an individual for the Sasquatch carded a 5-under par, 67 to take a 1 stroke lead over teammate Sam Krause and Derek Cheney of Gonzaga in the individual race.  Krause led the charge for the 6 CCS players competing in the team competition with his 4-under par performance.  Taylor Porter shot a 2-under par, 70, followed by Jason Molner and Tyler Johnson with 71’s.  Jonathan Lumper shot 73 and Kyler Gable shot 74. Corey Meyers and Robert Lane shot 74 and 79, playing as individuals.

There is also a match play component to the Spokane Cup.  Gonzaga leads with 31.5 points, followed by CCS with 22 and Whitworth with .5.

Next up for the Sasquatch is the last tournament of the fall season. The team will be traveling to Richland, WA to play in the Columbia Basin College Invitational October 26-27.
