CCS' Michelson’s Career Night Lifts CCS to a 74-59 Win Over SVC
Sophomore forward Ashlee Michelson played a perfect half of basketball. Literally. In the first half she was 7 for 7 from the field, including 4 for 4 from three, and 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Michelson didn’t even hit the rim until midway through the 2nd half en route to a career high 29 points on 10/12 from the field, 5/6 from three and 4/4 from the line.
As a team, CCS shot 48% from the floor. Add the great shooting to a 38-32 rebound advantage, and you get a 15 point victory over a solid Skagit Valley team.
The win puts CCS into the finals, where they will play the #4 ranked Umpqua Riverhawks.
