Sasquatch Swept by Knights

Wenatchee Valley took both ends of a doubleheader at SFCC on Saturday afternoon. Spokane dropped the first game 8-3. Spokane starter Ricky Gonzalez allowed seven runs in six and a third innings on nine hits. Gonzalez Struck out two and walked two in the game. Spokane scored three runs on five hits in the game. Donnie Santos led the way with two hits. Trevor LaHonta drove in two runs for the Sasquatch.

Spokane dropped the second game 9-7. Spokane jumped out to a 7-0 lead but Wenatchee Valley chipped away with three runs in the second inning and tied it with four in the sixth. Wenatchee took the lead with two in the seventh inning. Nate Shea went sixth and a third innings allowing four runs on seven runs on ten hits.  Colin Peterson and Trevor LaHonta combined for five hits in the game. Peterson drove in two runs while LaHonta scored twice for Spokane.

Spokane travels to Pasco to take on Columbia Basin on Wednesday afternoon.
