Alexa David

Quinn Holt

The Female Scholar-Athlete of the Month for March is Alexa David.  Alexa, a graduate of Richland High School, is a sophomore on the CCS women’s golf team.  As a freshman Alexa was instrumental in the success of the 2009-10 golf team which won several tournaments, including the 2010 NWAACC League Championship and 2010 NWAACC Conference Championship.  Alexa worked on her golf swing during the summer and improved tremendously.  She is a Team Captain on the 2010-11 women’s golf team.  In addition to her continued hard work on the golf course, Alexa works equally as hard in the classroom, maintaining a 3.1 grade point average.  Alexa will complete her AA degree this spring and transfer to Washington State University to pursue her degree in secondary education.  Coach Dalsanders stated, “Alexa is a leader on and off the course.  I am proud to have Alexa represent the CCS women’s golf team.”

Congratulations Alexa!

The Community Colleges of Spokane’s Male Scholar-Athlete of the Month for March is Quinn Holt.  Quinn, from Burlington-Edison High School, is a sophomore on the CCS baseball team. He leads the team in RBI’s with 15 and doubles with 10. In the classroom Quinn carries a 3.22 grade point average and is on pace to earn his AA degree at the end of the spring quarter.  Quinn is a great representative of the Community Colleges of Spokane on and off the field.

Congratulations Quinn!
