Centralia Invite 2007

Playing in their first big invitational of the fall season, the CCS men’s golf team represented themselves very well, placing 5th overall.  Matthew Strandberg (F, Mt. Spokane HS) lead the team with a 71-76 for a two-round total of 147, earning him 4th place in the 13-team Centralia Invitational golf tournament at Riverside Golf Club in Chehalis, WA. 

The teams two-round total of 605 (302-303) is very respectable under the cold, windy and wet playing conditions.  Walla Walla Community College won the team event with a 587 (295-292), once again proving to be some of the top competition for CCS. 

Medalist for the tournament went to Richard Lee (Bellevue Community College) with a two-round total of 134 (67-67).  He was followed by Joe Perkins (Walla Walla), 142 (71-71), and Sam Ayotte (Southwest Oregon), 146 (71-75). Jason Azzarito of the Sasquatch finished in a tie for 15th with a two-round total of 152 (77-75).
