Neil guides Sasquatch to easy win over Chukars

Damal Neil tossed in a game-high 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor and the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch romped to a 74-42 victory over the Treasure Valley Chukars in Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges action Saturday at Spokane Community College. The Sasquatch responded well coming off of their suffering their first league loss on the year to Blue Mountain Community College the night before on a last second shot.
“We were fortunate to get to come back out tonight and lace them up after the way the game ended last night. That was one of those tough ones that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I was very pleased with our focus and our effort with the way we came out tonight,” said Spokane coach Clint Hull.
Derek Gianukakis and Brendan Ingebritsen both finished with 11 points for the Sasquatch (12-4, 4-1), who had 11 of 12 players score in the game. The only Sasquatch who failed to score was starter Luke Clift, who went 0 for 3 from the floor but finished with four assists and three steals.
Griffon Jones snared a game-high eight rebounds for CC Spokane, which had a 38-33 advantage on the boards and forced 18 turnovers while committing just eight.
Manny Lopez scored 13 to pace the Chukars (4-15, 1-4).
