Spokane Bounces Back in Second Game to Earn Split with CBCOn Sunday, March 30th Spokane traveled to Pasco to play Columbia Basin College in an Eastern Region Doubleheader. Columbia Basin took the first game 17-6. Starter Mike Richard went two and two thirds innings allowing four earned runs on six hits. Richard had two strikeouts in the game and walked one batter. Spokane scored six run on seven hits. Cody Reeves led the way with two hits in the game.
The Sasquatch bounced back in the second game to win 5-4. Spokane starter Mark Purser went five innings in the game to earn his third win of the year. Alex Brueske came on in the ninth inning to preserve the win and earn the save for Spokane. Kelly Gau had a double and a triple in the game for Spokane. Braden Friesz added his first homerun of the season a solo shot in the second inning.
Spokane moves to 1-2 in Eastern Region play. The Sasquatch will travel to Big Bend CC on Wednesday afternoon before returning home to face Walla Walla on Saturday, April 5th at 1pm.
