Sasquatch Men's Golf Make it Three in a Row!

The Community Colleges of Spokane Men's Golf Team continued its stellar play in winning the annual Bigfoot Invitational Golf Tournament.  The victory made it three in a row in as many weeks for the Sasquatch.

Spokane shot even par, 288 during the first round of play at the Coeur d'Alene Golf Club and followed on day two with a 3 over par 291 at the The Links Golf Club.  Head Coach Scott Kramer commented, "The two courses offer completely contrasting styles.  The Coeur d'Alene Golf Club is short and very tight with tree-lined fairways, while the The Links Golf Club is very long with wide open fairways and huge greens."

Dylan Maine led the way for the Sasquatch with a second place finish with rounds of 69-74 - 143.  All seven players, including individual Connor Claeys finished in the top 12 of the tournament.  Andrew Roller (70-75 - 145) suffered a triple bogey on his 17th hole on day 2 and still managed a top 5 finish.  Brandon Koehler (73-73 - 146) continued his consistency for the Saquatch in providing much needed depth.  Grahm Schmaltz (77-72 - 149) has proven to be a great closer, shooting par or under in most of his day 2 rounds.  Freshman Kurt Simmons (76-73 - 149) and Ben Vandenberg (77-73 - 150) contributed great day 2 scores to help secure the title for the team.  Connor Claeys (72-77 - 149) shot 4 under par, 32 during the first 9 on day 1.

Next up for the Sasquatch is the Bandon Dunes Invitational in Bandon, OR May 13-14.
