Spokane Softball Earns Seven East Region All-Region Honors

After capturing the 2026 NWAC East Region title, the Spokane College softball program was well represented in the conference's postseason awards, with seven Sasquatch coaches and student-athletes earning East Region honors from the NWAC.

Leading the way for Spokane was sophomore pitcher Cassy Seifert, who was named East Region Pitcher of the Year after a dominant season in the circle. Seifert finished the regular season with a 14-5 record, 189 strikeouts in 125 innings pitched, and a 3.02 ERA while helping guide Spokane to a 24-4 conference record and the East Region championship.

Head coach Terry McIntyre was also recognized for Spokane's turnaround season, earning East Region Co-Coach of the Year honors alongside Walla Walla's Logan Parker. Under McIntyre's leadership, the Sasquatch returned to the top of the East Region standings and established themselves as one of the NWAC's top teams heading into postseason play.

Spokane placed three players on the East Region First Team. Sophomore pitcher Sam Rensvold earned First Team honors after serving as a key arm for the Sasquatch pitching staff throughout the season. Sophomore infielder Shelby Swansonwas selected to the First Team Infield, while sophomore outfielder Emma Cooke earned First Team Outfield recognition for her strong all-around play and offensive production.

Two more Sasquatch earned spots on the East Region Second Team. Freshman infielder Emma Oergel was recognized on the Second Team Infield, while catcher Zoie Maughan earned Second Team Catcher honors.

The seven total honors reflect Spokane's outstanding regular season and continued rise within the NWAC softball landscape as the Sasquatch prepare for postseason competition.
