Bio
The definition of a “multi-purpose” or utility player, Julie Fountain was one of the top pitchers in the NWAACC as well as one of the finest defensive catchers ever to wear a CCS uniform. Julie earned All-Region honors as both a freshman and sophomore. The Fountain sisters, Julie and Deanna, were a feared 1-2 combination during the 1995 season. Julie would catch her sister during game one of a double header, and pitch the second game, leading the 1995 Sasquatch to a Region Championship. During her sophomore season Fountain hit .353 with 23 RBI’s, and had an 11-3 record as a pitcher, with an ERA of 1.61 and 51 strikeouts.
