Bio

AJ Proszek serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Spokane Colleges, bringing a wide range of experience as a coach, operations manager, and former professional athlete. Proszek has been part of Sasquatch athletics for more than a decade, previously serving as an assistant baseball coach for five years and as the college’s Athletics Facilities and Operations Manager for four years. He also spent time as the head coach of the Wenatchee AppleSox, a collegiate summer baseball team.

Before beginning his administrative career, Proszek was a standout player himself. He competed for Spokane Falls baseball from 2005–2007, then transferred to Gonzaga University, where he played from 2007–2009. Following his college career, he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 2009 and spent four seasons as a professional player in the minor leagues. Over the course of his coaching career, he has worked with numerous athletes who went on to play in both Major League Baseball and the minor leagues.

Proszek earned his AA degree from Spokane Falls (2007), a B.A. in Sports Management from Gonzaga University (2009), and his M.S. in Management and Leadership (2025). He is also a Certified Personal Trainer.

Originally from Chewelah, Washington, Proszek and his wife, Cara, have two sons, Grayson and Kolton.
