Bio

Tyler VonDracek joined Spokane Colleges Athletics in 2023 serving as the Athletic Facilities & Operations Specialist. Tyler is responsible for gameday operations for all home events for Spokane Colleges. He also maintains all equipment, fields, and courts to ensure our facilities are in good condition for our athletes. Prior to his time at Spokane Colleges, VonDracek has held various positions in multiple collegiate athletic departments and professional organizations over the last 9 years.

VonDracek has familiarity around the NWAC, as well as the facilities & gameday operations realm, serving as a player, a coach, and in a similar role during his time at Yakima Valley College 2015-19. Tyler also was able to serve as a graduate intern for gameday operations during his time at Gonzaga in 2019-21. During his experience at Gonzaga, he was able to run multiple events on the score table working the scorebooks, scoreboard, as well as functioning DVSport for the official instant replay. Also, during grad school, he served in multiple roles with the Spokane Indians of MiLB as a Ticket Account Executive and in Ballpark operations. Following his graduate studies, VonDracek served as an Assistant Director of the Rudolf Fitness Center on Gonzaga University’s campus from 2021-23.

Before beginning his administrative career, VonDracek was a member of the Yakima Valley Yaks baseball team from 2011-2013 before transferring to Whitworth University where he pitched from 2013-2015. Tyler then served as the pitching coach at YVC from 2015-2019 where his staff earned the 2016 NWAC Baseball Championship and finished NWAC runners-up in the 2018 championship. During his tenure in coaching, VonDracek also assisted coaching two different American Legion Baseball clubs and two separate summers in the West Coast League, serving as pitching coach in the Wenatchee Applesox and Cowlitz Black Bears organizations.

Tyler holds an Associate’s degree from Yakima Valley College, a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Whitworth University, and a Master of Arts in Sport & Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University.

A native of Longview, WA, VonDracek resides in Spokane with his wife Margaret, who works as a nurse at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. Tyler & Margaret have one son, Luca, and one dog Maddux.
