Spokane Baseball Sweeps Grays Harbor with Dominant Pitching and Explosive Offense
Spokane controlled both ends of the doubleheader on Saturday, combining timely hitting with dominant pitching performances to shut down Grays Harbor and secure a convincing sweep.

Spokane broke open a quiet game late, using a seven-run surge over the final two innings to pull away for the Game 1 victory.
After four scoreless innings, Castle Keaton got things started in the fifth with an RBI single to plate Chase Edwards, followed by a sacrifice fly from Logan Spradling to make it 2-0.
Grays Harbor scratched across its only run in the seventh, but Spokane immediately answered in the bottom half. Keaton launched a solo home run to extend the lead, and Max Workman delivered the big blow with a three-run homer to push the advantage to 6-1.
The Sasquatch added four more in the eighth inning. Trent Woodhouse drove in a run with a single, Thomas Malcolmworked a bases-loaded walk, and Spradling added his second sacrifice fly of the day. Workman capped the scoring with an RBI single, sealing the 10-1 win.
Workman led the offense with four RBIs, while Keaton added a home run and two RBIs. Spradling contributed two RBIs, and Edwards reached base multiple times and scored twice.
On the mound, Spokane was dominant, combining for a no-hitter through six innings and finishing with 13 strikeouts. Braiden Boyd was especially sharp in relief, striking out five in two perfect innings.

Spokane wasted no time carrying its momentum into Game 2, erupting for five runs in the first inning and never looking back in a run-rule victory.
The Sasquatch capitalized on early miscues, with Chase Edwards and Anthony Knott both scoring in the opening frame. Harper Dissmore added an RBI single, while aggressive baserunning and wild pitches helped Spokane build a quick 5-0 lead.
Spokane continued to apply pressure in the second, taking advantage of defensive errors to extend the lead. In the third, Jake Bustamante ripped an RBI double, and Edwards followed by reaching on an error that brought home another run.
A wild pitch in the fourth allowed Castle Keaton to score, pushing the lead to 10-0 and putting the game out of reach.
At the plate, Ty Shepard paced Spokane with two hits and two runs scored, while Bustamante, Dissmore, and Edwardseach drove in a run.
The pitching staff was once again outstanding, combining for a shutout while striking out 13. Luke McGuire led the way with five strikeouts over two innings, and Peyton Hayes closed the door with three strikeouts in the final frame.
