Spokane came up short in both ends of a road doubleheader on Saturday, dropping Game 1 in a high-scoring battle before being held in check offensively in Game 2.

Spokane collected 14 hits but couldn't keep pace with a big middle-inning surge from Columbia Basin in the opener.
