Spokane Sweeps Doubleheader at Blue Mountain
Spokane baseball put together a dominant day on the road, sweeping Blue Mountain in Tuesday’s doubleheader with back-to-back 12-run performances, winning 12-0 and 12-3.

Spokane opened the day with a commanding shutout, combining timely hitting with dominant pitching to cruise past Blue Mountain.
The Sasquatch jumped out early with two runs in the first inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Castle Keaton and a sacrifice fly from Hunter Derr. They broke the game open in the fourth, plating three runs with Keaton delivering a two-RBI double.
Spokane continued to apply pressure throughout, adding a run in the sixth before exploding for six runs in the eighth to put the game out of reach.
Keaton led the offense with three hits and three RBIs, while Logan Spradling added two hits and an RBI. Derr chipped in with two RBIs, and Brady Wulf drove in a pair as part of a balanced attack that totaled 13 hits.
On the mound, David Barnes set the tone with five no-hit innings, striking out eight. The bullpen trio of Tiegan Ayers and Brooks Pinski finished the shutout, allowing just two hits while combining for four strikeouts.
Game 2: Spokane 12, Blue Mountain 3
Spokane carried that momentum into game two, using patience at the plate and another big inning to secure the sweep.
After building an early 2-0 lead in the second inning, Spokane found itself tied at 3-3 through four innings. The Sasquatch responded in the sixth when Max Workman used aggressive baserunning to score and regain the lead.
The turning point came in the seventh, when Spokane erupted for four runs. Ty Shepard delivered the big blow with a bases-clearing triple, then came around to score on a steal of home to extend the lead to 8-3.
Spokane added insurance runs late in the eighth and ninth to put the game away.
Shepard led the offense with three hits and four RBIs, while Workman had a standout performance, reaching base multiple times and driving in two runs. Parker Anderson also contributed with an RBI and reached base consistently.
On the mound, Dylan Greenough-Groom worked four innings, while Braiden Boyd provided a strong three-inning relief outing to stabilize the game. Peyton Hayes and Andrew Fox closed things out to secure the win.
