Fast Start Lifts Spokane Past Shoreline, 77–69
Behind a dominant first-half performance, Spokane earned a road win over Shoreline to move to 8–2 on the season.
Spokane built a commanding first-half lead and held off a late push from Shoreline to earn a 77–69 victory Saturday afternoon, improving to 8–2 on the season.
The Sasquatch came out sharp offensively, pouring in 46 first-half points and shooting efficiently across the floor to take a 14-point advantage into the break. Shoreline responded with a stronger second half, outscoring Spokane 37–31, but the early cushion proved too much to overcome.
Grant Olsen led all scorers with a dominant performance, finishing with a game-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting while adding eight rebounds. Javonte Boles delivered a double-double effort with 13 points and 13 rebounds, controlling the glass and anchoring Spokane's interior presence.
Eloy Chaparro added 11 points and three assists, while Jack Del Mese chipped in 10 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers. Spokane finished the game shooting 45.6 percent from the field and an impressive 84 percent from the free-throw line, converting 21 of 25 attempts.
Spokane also held the rebounding edge, 39–28, and forced 15 turnovers to help maintain control throughout the contest.
