Spokane’s Second-Half Surge Comes Up Just Short
A 50-point second half kept Spokane in the fight until the final minutes, but Walla Walla held on for a 93–88 win Wednesday evening.
Spokane came up just short Wednesday evening, falling 93–88 on the road to Walla Walla despite a strong offensive showing and multiple double-digit scorers.
The Sasquatch trailed by six at halftime but responded with a 50-point second half, keeping the game within reach until the final minutes. Spokane shot 46.2 percent from the floor and went 26-of-33 from the free-throw line, but Walla Walla's balanced scoring and rebounding edge proved decisive.
Grant Olsen and Jasahn Redmond led Spokane with 24 and 25 points, respectively. Redmond was efficient at the line, finishing 9-of-11 on free throws, while Olsen added eight rebounds to go with his scoring output. Javonte Boles contributed 16 points and eight rebounds, and Jack Del Mese added seven points and four boards.
Spokane kept pace throughout the second half, cutting the deficit to one possession multiple times, but Walla Walla answered each push with timely scoring. The Warriors finished with five players in double figures and held a 42–36 advantage on the glass.
Despite the loss, Spokane's offensive balance and second-half surge kept the game competitive until the final whistle as the Sasquatch continued conference play on the road.
