Sasquatch Come Up Short in Road Contest at Treasure Valley
Spokane battled to the final possession Saturday afternoon but came up just short in a 91–87 road loss to Treasure Valley, despite shooting over 54 percent from the field.
Spokane came up just short in a tightly contested road matchup Saturday afternoon, falling 91–87 to Treasure Valley despite an efficient offensive performance and multiple strong individual efforts.
The Sasquatch shot an impressive 54.8 percent from the field and kept pace throughout, but Treasure Valley's first-half surge and timely perimeter shooting proved to be the difference. Spokane trailed 55–46 at halftime before trimming the deficit to four in the final minutes.
Sophomore guard Grant Olsen led all scorers with a standout performance, pouring in 27 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Javonte Boles added a strong interior presence with 20 points and seven rebounds, finishing 8-of-12 from the floor.
Eloy Chaparro chipped in 11 points and added three steals, while Jasahn Redmond finished with 10 points and continued to apply pressure defensively. Off the bench, Evan Nomee provided an instant spark, knocking down three three-pointers in limited minutes for nine points.
