Deji Ayodeji Adebayo serves as an Assistant Jumps and Sprint Coach for Spokane Colleges Track & Field program. Born and raised in Spokane, WA, coming from a family of competitive athletes, Ayodeji was inspired early on by his two older brothers and younger brother, all of whom excelled in track and field and football. A graduate of Rogers High School, Coach Adebayo was a four-year varsity soccer athlete before joining the track and field team at Spokane Community College (2006–2007) as a walk-on. During his collegiate career with Spokane, he earned championship titles in the 100m, 200m, and long jump events, most outstanding freshman, and sophomore awards, team captain in '07, and received the Men’s High Point Award in 2007. His athletic journey continued at Lindenwood University, where he competed at the national level in the 60m, 100m, and long jump while pursuing his academic goals. He graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
After graduating, Coach Adebayo returned to Spokane with his wife, Allison, from St. Louis, Missouri, where he began his professional career with PepsiCo. With a strong foundation in both performance and sports science, he is dedicated to fostering technical excellence, discipline, and a competitive spirit among his athletes.
Coach Adebayo is thrilled to be part of the Spokane Colleges Track & Field program and to bring his knowledge and expertise alongside an outstanding coaching staff. He has been married for nine years to his wife, Allison, a former collegiate track & field/field hockey player, and fellow Lindenwood University graduate. Together, they have four children, one son and three daughters, who continue to inspire his commitment to mentorship, leadership, and family values within the athletic community.
