Spokane Sweeps Big Bend Behind Strong Offense, Solid Pitching
Spokane completed a doubleheader sweep on the road Tuesday, taking down Big Bend 6-2 in Game 1 and 8-4 in Game 2 in Moses Lake. The Sasquatch combined timely hitting with steady pitching to improve their record and control both ends of the twin bill.

Spokane broke through early and never let up, using a balanced offensive attack and a complete-game effort in the circle to secure the opener.
After grabbing an unearned run in the first, Spokane responded to a Big Bend rally in the third with a decisive fourth inning. Samantha Rensvold delivered a clutch two-run double to give Spokane the lead for good, scoring two and shifting momentum.
The Sasquatch added insurance in the fifth when Emma Cooke launched a solo home run, extending the advantage to 4-2. In the seventh, Lilley Triplett put the game out of reach with a two-run homer.
Rensvold was equally dominant in the circle, tossing a complete game while allowing just two runs and striking out four to earn the win.
Game 2: Spokane 8, Big Bend 4
Spokane wasted no time in the second game, erupting for four runs in the opening inning. Triplett scored on a passed ball before Shelby Swanson crushed a three-run homer to give Spokane an early cushion.
The Sasquatch continued to apply pressure, adding two runs in the second and two more in the third. Danika Curtishighlighted the third inning with a two-RBI single, capitalizing on a defensive miscue to push the lead to 8-1.
Big Bend attempted to claw back with runs in the third and fifth, but Spokane's pitching staff shut the door. Swanson earned the win, while Cassy Seifert was dominant in relief, striking out six over the final 2.2 innings to secure the save.
