The Sasquatch softball team has officially risen to the top of the NWAC East Region, locking in the championship after a season powered by relentless offense, timely execution, and a complete team effort that carried them through a demanding conference schedule.
The Sasquatch softball team has officially claimed the NWAC East Region Championship after a dominant all-around season built on explosive offense, steady pitching, and consistent execution in key moments.
Spokane finished the year with a 366–231 run differential across 44 games, averaging 8.32 runs per game while establishing itself as one of the most dangerous lineups in the conference. The Sasquatch posted a .350 team batting average, .427 on-base percentage, and .510 slugging mark, piling up 434 hits, 632 total bases, and 312 RBIs throughout the season.
The offense thrived in pressure situations, hitting .370 with runners in scoring position and .297 with two outs, while also producing 207 hits with runners on base. Power and speed combined to fuel the attack, with 35 home runs, 109 extra-base hits, and 93 stolen bases at an .877 success rate, consistently putting defenses on their heels.
In the circle, Spokane posted a 4.18 ERA and 1.57 WHIP while holding opponents to a .289 batting average over 272.2 innings pitched. The staff recorded 143 strikeouts and was particularly effective in high-leverage moments, limiting damage with runners on base and holding opponents to a .252 average with two outs.
Defensively, the Sasquatch finished with a .930 fielding percentage and 11 double plays, rounding out a team that continued to improve and stabilize as the season progressed.
