Coaching Career

2023-Present: Assistant Coach for Spokane Colleges Women’s Basketball.

2017-23: Spent six seasons as an assistant varsity boys coach at Lewis and Clark High School (Spokane, WA). In his first season there (2017-18) he helped guide the team to a 3rd Place finish at the state tournament. He coached four players from Lewis and Clark who went on to play collegiately at the Division I or Division II level.

2016-17: Spent one season as an assistant varsity boys coach at Shadle Park High School (Spokane, WA). In his first season there, he helped guide the team to the regional round of the state tournament. He coached four players who went on to play collegiately at the Division I, II, and NAIA level.

Playing Career

Played basketball and golf at Billings Central High School in Billings, MT (1984-87), earning second place team honors in golf (1986).

Personal

Graduated from Gonzaga University (1987-91) and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in Finance. He retired in 2025 from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) after 35 years of government service. He was a National Training Specialist for the last 20 years of his career, teaching, a curriculum specializing in financial analytics, fraud detection, decision making, critical thinking, and negotiation tactics. He is married to Maisie Bauer and they have two children (Abby and Luke). In his free time, he enjoys playing and coaching basketball and spending time with his family at his cabin in Montana while floating and fly fishing the Clark Fork River.
