Spokane ran into a tough road test Wednesday night, falling 74–43 to Big Bend.
Big Bend set the tone early, jumping out to a 23–6 lead after the first quarter and maintaining control throughout the contest. Spokane struggled offensively, shooting 30.2 percent from the field and going 0-for-14 from three-point range on the night.
Camia Howard led Spokane with 18 points and a team-high 13 rebounds, recording a double-double while battling inside for most of the evening. Karis Santucci added 10 points off the bench, and Alahondra Perez chipped in six points and three assists.
Despite defensive pressure and strong rebounding efforts, Spokane finished with 11 offensive boards, the Sasquatch were unable to close the gap as Big Bend continued to capitalize on turnovers and efficient shooting. Big Bend shot 50 percent from the field and used balanced scoring to extend its lead in the second half.
