Spokane dropped a 78-58 decision to Treasure Valley Community College on Saturday afternoon in conference play.
Treasure Valley used a strong second quarter to create separation, outscoring Spokane 25-18 to take a 38-24 halftime lead. The Sasquatch showed resilience coming out of the break, responding with 23 third-quarter points, their highest-scoring frame of the afternoon, but were unable to sustain the momentum as the Chukars closed the game with a 22-11 fourth quarter.
Camia Howard led Spokane with a standout performance, finishing with 22 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double. Howard shot 9-of-16 from the field, added five steals and a block, and was a force on both ends of the floor.
Zeryah Stokes provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and five steals in 19 minutes, while Karis Santucci contributed seven points and three rebounds. Macy Cummings added eight points and five boards.
Spokane and Treasure Valley finished even on the glass with 37 rebounds apiece, but turnovers proved costly. Both teams recorded 18 steals, contributing to a fast-paced and physical contest, yet Spokane committed 26 turnovers that led to additional scoring opportunities for the visitors.
