Bio
Corey Prugh has led the Spokane Colleges men’s and women’s golf programs since 2017, guiding the Sasquatch to multiple regional titles and an NWAC Men’s Team Championship in 2025. His coaching career includes 13 team tournament victories, highlighted by the 2017–18 NWAC Women’s Regional Championship, the 2018–19 NWAC Men’s Regional Championship, and recognition as the 2018–19 NWAC Men’s Coach of the Year.
Prugh played collegiate golf at the University of Washington (2000–2004), where he was a member of three NCAA National Championship teams, competed in three USGA Men’s Amateurs, and earned All-Pac-10 honors in 2001. Following his college career, he went on to compete professionally, winning numerous titles including the 2008 Oregon Open, the Rosauers Open (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015), the 2011 Northwest Open, and the PNW PGA Section Championship (2016, 2019, 2020). He was also named Pacific Northwest PGA Section Player of the Year three times (201, 2012, 2013) and competed in the 2012 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island.
Under his leadership, several Spokane Colleges golfers have gone on to continue their careers at four-year universities, including Zach Stocker (Gonzaga University), Emma Torres (Taylor University), Cole Jaworski (Eastern Illinois University), and Trey LeCheminant (Eastern Washington University).
Prugh earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Washington and has been a PGA of America member since 2010.
Away from the course, he enjoys time with his wife, Katie, and their two daughters, Charlotte (8) and Grace (4). His coaching philosophy is simple: help each player reach their potential.
