Bio

Elizabeth Hardin was named head coach of the Spokane Colleges volleyball program in March 2022, bringing more than a decade of coaching experience at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. She began her coaching career in 2012 with Desert Sports Club, a premier program in California’s Coachella Valley, before spending a season with Northeast South Dakota Volleyball Club. In 2015, she took over as head varsity coach at Cathedral City High School, where she built the program and launched the first public-school boys’ varsity volleyball team in the Coachella Valley.

After moving to Spokane in 2019, Hardin began working with Spokane Sky Volleyball Club, becoming club director in 2020. In addition to leading the Sasquatch, she is the owner of Ambition Christian Athletics, a Spokane-based Christian volleyball club.

As a player, Hardin competed for Palm Springs High School and at the club level before continuing her career at College of the Desert (Palm Desert, Calif.). In 2013, she transferred to Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota, before retiring from competition to focus on coaching.

Hardin has coached numerous athletes who have advanced to four-year programs, including Alofa Woods (Whitworth), Cassie Moeller (Eastern Washington), and Makena Reis-Sranz (Menlo College). She holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology.

A mother of four (three boys and one girl), Hardin describes her coaching philosophy as “parental,” emphasizing intentionality and care for the whole athlete, on and off the court.
