Bio

Ken “Chappy” Reyes joined the Spokane Colleges volleyball coaching staff in 2025, bringing more than two decades of experience coaching at the high school, club, and international levels. Known for his technical expertise and focus on skill development, Reyes has worked with athletes across multiple age groups, emphasizing strong fundamentals, efficient mechanics, and a positive team culture.

Before joining the Sasquatch, Reyes served as a junior high and JV coach at The Oaks in Spokane Valley (2022–2024) and JV coach at East Valley High School (2019–2021). His extensive club coaching background includes leadership roles with Spokane Sky Volleyball Club (2019–present), Vacaville Extreme Volleyball Club in California, Midnight Sun Volleyball Club in Alaska, Peninsula Juniors Volleyball Club in Virginia, and several others. Earlier in his career, Reyes coached boys’ varsity volleyball at Incirlik High School in Turkey and served as both a player and coach for U.S. Air Force men’s and women’s varsity teams.

Reyes’ coaching accomplishments include multiple top finishes at major tournaments, highlighted by medal-winning performances at NCVA Regional Championships in Reno, Nevada. He holds a USAV Coaches Accreditation Program (CAP) Level 2 certification and has completed the Gold Medal Squared Clinic for advanced coaching techniques.

A graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Speech Communications, Reyes also holds a Master of Divinity from Bethel West Seminary and a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University. His diverse background, leadership experience, and lifelong commitment to the game make him a valuable asset to the Sasquatch volleyball program.
