In front of their home crowd on Halloween night, Spokane delivered a statement victory, sweeping Big Bend in straight sets and showcasing their offensive efficiency and depth.
Spokane delivered one of its most commanding performances of the season on October 31, sweeping Big Bend in straight sets (25–6, 25–12, 25–17) at their home court in Spokane, Washington. The Sasquatch controlled every phase of the match from the opening serve, improving their rhythm and efficiency as the night went on.
Spokane set the tone early with a blistering first set, limiting Big Bend to just six points while hitting .273 as a team. The Sasquatch offense continued to fire in the second and third sets, posting .241 and .308 hitting percentages to finish with a match average of .324, one of their best attacking performances this season. Meanwhile, Spokane's defense held Big Bend to a negative hitting percentage (-.088) and only 12 total kills across all three sets.
Aubree Lane led Spokane's attack with 9 kills and a .316 hitting percentage, while adding 4 service aces to her total of 13.5 points on the night. Alexis Stolp was close behind with 7 kills on a .357 clip, and middle blockers Lainey Calvary and Kaylee Winterroth both hit an impressive .571 with 5 kills apiece, combining for 4 total blocks. Setter Meloni Miller ran the offense efficiently with 15 assists, while Bailey Jaworski contributed 13 assists and 2 aces of her own.
From the service line, Spokane dominated with 15 aces, four each from Lane and Amanda Naipo, keeping Big Bend out of system and on the defensive throughout the match. The Sasquatch also tallied 10 total team blocks, controlling the net and shutting down any offensive momentum from the Vikings.
Defensively, Spokane's back row stayed sharp, led by Annika Furr and Coalie Whitman, who combined for 11 digs and anchored a steady serve-receive unit. Big Bend's offense never found its rhythm, committing 18 errors and finishing below zero in attack efficiency for the night.
