Sasquatch Battle Hard in Road Match at Treasure Valley
The Sasquatch stayed competitive in every set against a sharp Treasure Valley team, with Lainey Calvary recording double-digit kills and a standout all-around performance.
Spokane volleyball dropped a hard-fought match on the road Wednesday evening, falling to Treasure Valley in three sets (18-25, 19-25, 20-25). Despite the sweep, the Sasquatch put together several bright performances and remained competitive throughout each frame.
Spokane (18-8, 9-4 NWAC) posted a .140 team hitting percentage, showing consistency and energy against a sharp Treasure Valley attack that hit .340 for the night. The Sasquatch steadily improved offensively as the match progressed, increasing their kill totals from 8 in the opening set to 13 in the third.
Leading the way for Spokane was Lainey Calvary, who tallied 10 kills on a .320 hitting percentage, along with 11 digs, three service aces, and three total blocks for a standout all-around performance. Alexis Stolp added 7 kills on a .375 clip, while Kaylee Winterroth was efficient at the net with 6 kills and three block assists.
Setter Mia Asbury directed the offense with 22 assists and contributed 11 digs, while Annika Furr anchored the back row with 10 digs and two service aces. Aubree Lane added 9 digs and 5 kills, and Amanda Naipo provided a spark off the bench with 2 kills, a block assist, and an ace.
Despite the loss, Spokane's balanced effort and late-set surges reflected their resilience and depth. The Sasquatch will look to regroup as they prepare for their final regular-season home match, aiming to finish strong and build momentum heading into postseason play.
