Sasquatch Finish Strong Season, Fall in NWAC Elite Eight
A 20-win season came to a close for Spokane Volleyball on Friday, with the Sasquatch dropping a hard-fought Elite Eight match to Treasure Valley in Pasco.
Spokane Volleyball saw its postseason come to a close on Friday afternoon, falling to Treasure Valley 3–0 in the NWAC Elite Eight at Columbia Basin College. The Sasquatch finished a strong season at 20–10 overall.
Treasure Valley, one of the tournament's top teams, claimed the match 25–20, 25–19, 25–19 behind efficient attacking and timely serving. Spokane opened the first set with one of its best hitting performances of the day, posting a .316 attack percentage, but Treasure Valley answered with a .317 mark of its own to take the early lead and set the tone.
Aubree Lane led the Sasquatch offense with 11 kills, while Amanda Naipo added seven and Lainey Calvary chipped in six. Setter Bailey Jaworski collected 13 assists, and libero Annika Furr anchored the back row with a team-high nine digs.
Despite Spokane's defensive effort, Treasure Valley's balanced attack proved difficult to slow, finishing with 34 total kills and 11 service aces. Spokane totaled 33 kills and outdug the Chukars 62–59 but couldn't generate the late-set runs needed to extend the match.
The loss concludes a successful season for the Sasquatch, who advanced to the Elite Eight and posted 20 wins under a competitive conference slate. Spokane now looks ahead to returning talent and building toward another postseason push in 2026.
