Spokane Drops Road Doubleheader at Lane
After walking off the opener, Lane’s offense exploded in Game 2 to complete a decisive doubleheader sweep of Spokane on Saturday in Eugene.

Game 1: Lane 4, Spokane 3
Lane rallied late and capitalized on a ninth-inning miscue to edge Spokane, 4-3, in a dramatic opener.
Spokane struck first, manufacturing single runs in the second and fourth innings. RBI outs from Brady Wulf and Anthony Knott plated Cooper Davis both times, giving the visitors a 2-0 lead behind a strong outing from starter David Barnes.
Barnes was sharp through eight innings, scattering eight hits while striking out 10. Lane finally broke through in the seventh when Devincenz delivered an RBI single to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The momentum swung in the eighth. Lane loaded the bases and tied the game on a bases-loaded walk by Donivan. Moments later, Minto singled to score Burnett, giving Lane its first lead at 3-2.
Spokane answered in the ninth when Thomas Malcolm singled home Hunter Derr to knot the game at 3-3. But Lane had the final say. In the bottom of the ninth, Takahashi came around to score on an error with two outs, sealing the 4-3 walk-off victory.
Lane and Spokane each finished with eight hits, but Lane drew four walks and stole four bases to help spark the comeback.

Lane wasted no time taking control in the nightcap, scoring three runs in the first inning and never looking back in a 13-3 rout.
Olson set the tone with a four-hit performance, driving in three runs and doubling twice. In the opening frame, Tyner singled in the game's first run, Roletto followed with an RBI double, and Tyner later stole home to cap a three-run inning.
Lane added another run in the second on Olson's RBI double before Spokane briefly clawed back in the third. Andrew Fox and Logan Spradling both stole home to trim the deficit to 4-2.
The Titans responded immediately. In the bottom of the third, Contreras ripped a two-run double to extend the lead to 6-2.
Spokane got one back in the seventh on Castle Keaton's RBI single, but Lane broke the game open with a five-run eighth inning. Tyner doubled in a run, Morgan and Felts added RBI singles, and Olson capped the outburst with a two-run single to push the lead to 13-3.
Lane pounded out 15 hits in the game, with multiple-hit efforts from Olson, Tyner, Contreras, and Felts. D. Morgan also reached base three times and scored three runs.
Spokane showed aggressive baserunning with seven stolen bases in Game 2, but the visitors were limited to five hits and struck out eight times.
