Spokane Splits Doubleheader at Lane Behind Offensive Outburst in Game Two
Spokane dropped a tight opener before erupting for 11 runs in the nightcap to earn a doubleheader split against Lane on Sunday in Eugene.

Spokane rallied late but could not overcome a four-run third inning by Lane in a 4-3 loss to open the day.
Spokane grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third when Castle Keaton doubled home Trent Woodhouse, but Lane responded immediately. Day tied the game with an RBI single before Donivan cleared the bases with a three-run double to make it 4-1.
Spokane chipped away in the fourth as Harper Dissmore singled in Ty Shepard to cut the deficit to two.
The bullpen effort kept Spokane within reach. Owen Krasowski was dominant in relief, striking out 11 over five innings while allowing just one hit and one walk.
Spokane made one final push in the ninth. Dissmore scored on an RBI single from Chase Edwards, bringing the tying run into scoring position, but Lane closed it out.
Spokane finished with 10 hits, led by three from Ty Shepard and two each from Harper Dissmore and Hunter Derr, but left nine runners on base in the narrow defeat.
Game 2: Spokane 11, Lane 2
The second game told a much different story.
Spokane jumped out early, scoring three runs in the first inning. Castle Keaton drove in the first run with a single before Max Workman added a two-run single to give Spokane a 3-0 advantage.
Lane trimmed the lead to 3-2 through five innings, but Spokane broke the game open with an eight-run sixth.
The rally began with Cooper Davis, who doubled in two runs. Keaton followed with an RBI single, and Ty Shepard delivered a two-run double. Thomas Malcolm added a two-run double of his own, and Max Workman capped the inning with an RBI single as Spokane stretched the lead to 11-2.
Spokane pounded out 14 hits in the win. Logan Spradling collected three hits, while Castle Keaton, Shepard, and T. Malcolm each drove in two runs. Workman led the way with three RBIs.
On the mound, Dylan Greenough-Groom allowed one run over three innings to start, and Spokane's bullpen combined to limit Lane to two runs despite 11 hits. The staff struck out eight and worked out of multiple jams to secure the victory.
After a frustrating one-run loss in the opener, Spokane responded with timely hitting and a decisive sixth inning to salvage a split on the road.
