Spokane continued its strong run in NWAC play Tuesday, sweeping Yakima Valley in a home doubleheader with a 9-0 shutout in game one and an 8-3 win in game two.

Spokane's offense came alive earlier in game two, using a big second inning to secure the sweep.
The Sasquatch plated four runs in the second, highlighted by RBI knocks from Trent Woodhouse and Chase Edwards. Edwards had a standout game at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Spokane continued to build its lead with runs in the third and fourth innings. Max Workman led the offensive effort with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, while Hunter Derr, Ty Shepard, and Parker Anderson each drove in runs.
Yakima Valley answered with three runs in the fifth, but Spokane's bullpen shut down any momentum. Dylan Greenough-Groom started and worked into the fifth, while Owen Krasowski and Luke McGuire combined for 4.1 scoreless innings to close out the game.
An RBI single from Workman in the seventh added insurance as Spokane secured the 8-3 win.
