Spokane Baseball Earns Multiple East Region All-Region Honors
Spokane College baseball earned multiple 2026 NWAC East Region honors following its conference championship season, highlighted by Ryne Webb being named Coach of the Year and Josh Grimes earning Assistant Coach of the Year honors.
After capturing the 2026 NWAC East Region title on the final weekend of the regular season, Spokane College baseball was heavily recognized in the conference's postseason awards announcement, earning multiple East Region honors for coaches and student-athletes.
Head coach Ryne Webb was named East Region Coach of the Year after guiding the Sasquatch to a conference championship season. Assistant coach Josh Grimes also earned recognition as the East Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
Spokane placed five student-athletes on the East Region First Team. Sophomore pitcher Sam Weaver was selected as a First Team starting pitcher, while sophomore reliever Braiden Boyd earned First Team honors as a relief pitcher.
In the infield, sophomore Thomas Malcolm earned First Team recognition after a strong season at the plate and in the field. Sophomore Max Workman was named the East Region First Team Designated Hitter.
Spokane also saw five players earn Second Team honors. Sophomore pitchers David Barnes and Dylan Greenough-Groom were both named Second Team pitchers, while sophomore Luke McGuire earned Second Team recognition as a relief pitcher.
In the outfield, sophomore Trent Woodhouse was selected to the Second Team, and sophomore Logan Spradling earned Second Team honors as a designated hitter.
The postseason awards reflect Spokane's strong regular season and continued success within the NWAC as the Sasquatch head into postseason play carrying momentum from their East Region championship run.
