Men's Soccer Advances to NWAC Semifinals with Second-Half Comeback
A relentless second-half push sealed the deal for Spokane, as the Sasquatch turned a 1–0 deficit into a 3–1 victory over Whatcom. The win sends Spokane to the NWAC Semifinals at Starfire Sports Complex on Nov. 14.

Spokane men's soccer is moving on. In a strong second-half performance, the Sasquatch rallied from an early deficit to defeat Whatcom 3–1 in the NWAC Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon at the Spokane Falls soccer complex.
Whatcom struck first just two minutes into the match, when Aaron Diaz found the back of the net to give the visitors an early edge. Spokane regrouped after the halftime break and wasted no time taking control of the match.
In the 48th minute, Austin Armstrong leveled the score off an assist from Cipriano Acosta Jr., setting the tone for a dominant second half. Seven minutes later, Kevin Ng broke the tie, finishing a setup from Hunter Anderson to give the Sasquatch the lead. Ng wasn't done, he later assisted Lucas Briet on a goal in the 63rd minute that sealed the win for Spokane.
Goalkeeper Noah Jordan anchored the defense with six saves on seven shots, while the Sasquatch outshot Whatcom 12–9 and controlled the tempo with eight corner kicks.
With the victory, Spokane advances to the NWAC Semifinals, which will be held at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Washington. The Sasquatch will face off in the semifinal match on Friday, November 14, at 1:30 p.m., taking on the winner of the Lane vs. Highline quarterfinal matchup.
