Spokane Turns Up the Pressure in 83–53 Win at Everett
A fast start and a deep rotation powered Spokane to a dominant 83–53 road victory at Everett on Friday evening.
Spokane Women's Basketball opened its weekend trip with a dominant performance on Friday night, powering past Everett 83–53 behind a balanced offense and disruptive defense.
The Sasquatch set the tone early, jumping out to a 23–7 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. Spokane shot 47 percent from the field, won the rebounding battle 47–27, and forced 31 Everett turnovers, turning defensive pressure into scoring opportunities all night.
Camia Howard led the way with an efficient 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting to go with six rebounds, while Alahondra Perez added 11 points, five boards, and six assists in one of her strongest all-around outings of the season.
Off the bench, Spokane got a major lift from its depth. Stephanie Chadduck scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Jaida White knocked down three threes on her way to 11 points, and Karis Santucci recorded another double-figure effort with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Defensively, Spokane swarmed the Trojans, finishing with 21 steals and holding Everett to under 40 percent shooting.
With the win, Spokane improves to 6–2 on the season.
