Sasquatch Shine on Both Ends in 101–35 Victory
Spokane’s defense ignited a dominant afternoon at home, as the Sasquatch rolled past Tacoma 101–35 on Saturday.
Spokane Women's Basketball delivered a dominant performance Saturday afternoon, cruising past Tacoma 101–35 behind relentless defensive pressure, efficient scoring, and balanced contributions across the roster.
The Sasquatch set the tone early, jumping out to a 21–7 lead after the first quarter and never easing up. Spokane's defense tightened throughout the afternoon, holding Tacoma to just 22 percent shooting for the game and limiting the Titans to a single point in the third quarter, where Spokane outscored Tacoma 33–1 to put the game out of reach.
Offensively, Spokane showcased its depth and pace, finishing with 45 made field goals, 24 assists, and 23 steals while forcing 38 turnovers. The Sasquatch also controlled the glass, outrebounding Tacoma 53–28.
Alahondra Perez led all scorers with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting, while Karis Santucci added a strong all-around effort with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Camia Howard finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, continuing her steady presence in the paint and in transition.
The Spokane bench made a significant impact, combining for 43 points. Stephanie Chadduck was perfect from the field, scoring 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting, while Jaida White knocked down a pair of threes on her way to eight points. Macy Cummings chipped in nine points, and Shalene Ervin added five while helping anchor Spokane's defensive effort.
Defensively, Spokane swarmed from tip to buzzer, recording 23 steals and holding Tacoma to just three made three-pointers on the afternoon. The Sasquatch's pressure and pace never allowed Tacoma to find rhythm.
With the win, Spokane improves to 8–3 on the season and closes out the weekend with another statement performance at home.
