Sasquatch Roll on the Road With 84–42 Win Over Mt. Hood
Spokane showed its depth and defensive intensity Wednesday night, earning a road victory over Mt. Hood.
Spokane put together a dominant all-around performance Wednesday night, cruising to an 84–42 victory over Mt. Hood.
The Sasquatch set the tone early, jumping out to a 23–11 lead after the first quarter and never allowing Mt. Hood to find any sustained offensive rhythm. Spokane tightened the screws defensively after halftime, holding the Saints to just six points in the third quarter before closing the game with a strong fourth frame.
Camia Howard led the way with a standout performance, finishing with 26 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, and three assists. Howard was relentless on both ends of the floor, attacking the paint and creating turnovers that fueled Spokane's transition offense.
Karis Santucci added 15 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season, while Journee Brooks chipped in 13 points. Ayeris Jones and Alahondra Perez each finished with 11 points, helping Spokane maintain balanced scoring throughout the night.
Defensively, Spokane forced 21 turnovers and recorded 19 steals, turning pressure into points and controlling the tempo from start to finish. The Sasquatch also won the battle on the glass, outrebounding Mt. Hood 47–44, including 19 offensive rebounds.
Spokane's depth remained a key factor, with consistent minutes and energy from the bench as the lead continued to grow in the second half.
With the win, the Sasquatch improve to 10–3 on the season and continue to build momentum as conference play approaches.
