Spokane Drops Road Contest at Walla Walla
Despite forcing 15 turnovers, Spokane was held to 34 points in a 53–34 conference loss to Walla Walla.
Spokane struggled to find an offensive rhythm Wednesday night, falling 53–34 to Walla Walla in a road conference matchup.
The Sasquatch stayed within reach early, trailing just 10–9 after the first quarter, but Walla Walla began to separate in the second period. Spokane managed nine points in the quarter, while the Warriors used a 16-point frame to take a 26–18 lead into halftime.
Offense remained difficult to come by for Spokane in the second half. Walla Walla extended the margin with a 13–5 third quarter and continued to control the tempo down the stretch, outscoring Spokane 14–11 in the fourth to close out the win.
Journee Brooks led Spokane with 10 points, adding three steals and a block. Macy Cummings chipped in 8 points, while Ayeris Jones added 7 off the bench. Karis Santucci pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, helping Spokane compete on the glass despite shooting challenges.
Defensively, Spokane forced 15 turnovers and collected 12 steals, but shot just 22.4% from the field and 18.8% from three, limiting scoring opportunities throughout the night.
